MONDAY, OCTOBER 10, OUR OIL MILL OPENS
That of the Gaslini Alberti family for oil is a passion that finds equal only in wine. For this reason, the company has equipped itself with a state-of-the-art in-house oil mill with the goal of having certainty about the timing and methods of olive milling. The mill is not only at the internal service of the company, but also open to other producers, whether private individuals or farms: a service to the quality of the oil of the territory of fundamental strategic importance.
Badia di Morrona’s EVO oil is the result of the selection of typical Tuscan cultivars, Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo, from our 40 hectares of olive groves. The olives are processed a few hours after harvest with cold mechanical extraction in our estate mill. The oil is then filtered and stored by riddling under nitrogen, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 17° .
Our mill also offers third-party service, for all those producers, individuals or companies, who wish to press their own olives.
